About Us
Ashbourne Private Golf Course is one of South Australia’s rare surviving examples of early rural golf — a layout formed not by machinery, but by the natural contours of the valley.
In 1928, the first recorded round was played here, described as lying among:
“wooded slopes and hills, well‑grassed fields… and magnificent specimens of red gum trees” - Southern Argus Newspaper
Those same features still define the experience today.
