At Ashbourne, our course is built on respect for the game, the land, and each other. These guidelines help keep the course in great condition and ensure everyone enjoys their round.

Couse Conditions & Relief

Out of Bounds

A ball is out of bounds when it lands beyond the boundary fence on any hole.

Proceed under stroke and distance.

Young Trees

If a staked or protected young tree interferes with your stance or swing, take free relief.

Drop within two club lengths, no nearer the hole.

Drains & Ground Condition

If your ball lies in a cut drain, or in animal holes, mounds, wheel tracks, or roadways, free relief is available.

Drop within two club lengths, no nearer the hole.

Ground Under Repair

Areas under repair require compulsory relief.

Drop within one club length.

Looking After our Course

Fix pitch marks, replace divots, and tidy any damage.Sand buckets are available to help keep the course in great shape.

Play, Pace & Safety

Pace of Play

With no set tee times, please be mindful of groups ahead and behind.
Keep play moving and allow faster groups to pass when needed.

Safety

Only play when the group ahead is well out of range.
If your ball heads toward another player, call “Fore” straight away.

Respect fellow golfers, the course, and the quiet of play.

Carts & Buggies

With no fixed buggy paths, please drive with care:

Keep clear of greens, tees, and turf
Avoid soft or wet ground
Follow signage and staff directions
Be mindful of other players

Catastrophic Fire Ban

If a catastrophic fire danger rating is declared, we may need to close the course for everyone’s safety.
Please follow the course guidance and local alerts.

Dress Code

Golf‑appropriate attire is appreciated on the course and in practice areas.
